[WotLK] General Guild and Raiders Rules
These rules are subject to change (at anytime) if deemed fit by officers.
Guild Ranks:
Trialist: You have just been accepted to the guild where you will be put on trial for 2 weeks. During these two weeks, you are welcome to join raids; however, Members and Raiders of the guild will have priority on loot over you.
Trial (+): You have been accepted with certain conditions agreed upon with officers. You are also welcome to join raids. You’ll have equal opportunity on loot as the Trialist rank of the guild and Raiders and Members will still have priority on loot over you.
After completing you trial period successfully, you will be promoted to Member, during that time, you will have to attend at least 2 raids a week to qualify to a Raiders rank.
Members: Loot Inc Members are players who are not active enough to attend most of the raids but are still allowed to join them. You will have priority on loot over the Trialist and Trial (+) ranks but you won’t have that priority over a Raider.
Raiders: Loot Inc dedicated and skilled players. This rank is earned through fully attending at least 2 raids per week, and doing your role in raids as you were intended to do. Raiders will have priority on all loot for Main spec until the Dual spec patch is released. You must maintain your attendance to keep you raiders rank unless you have to go AFK for a certain amount of time and you have notified the officers about it on the Raids AFK section of the forum.
Basic priority for loot:
Raider > Member > Trialist = Trial (+) > Offspec
Dual Spec Patch:
Raider > Member > Trialst = Trial (+) = Raiders dual spec > Members Dual spec > Trailist = Trial (+) Dual spec > 3rd Spec
* Raiders, Members, Trialist and Trial (+): if you cannot attend a raid for any reason, you have to notify the officers on Raid AFK section of the forum with the amount of time that you will be away for, to prevent us from demoting you to a lesser rank.
* Raiders, Members, Trialist and Trial (+) may not join any raids with other guilds or pugs without the permission of an officer. This includes all instances heroic and normal except for the instances sepcified by the officers. If an officer is not available and you cant make the guild raids for the instance you are about to pug, you must notify us via the forums or an in game mail before you join the pug/other guilds raid. Failing to do so will result in a loss in DKP or any other diciplinary means the officers see fit. (Atm all normal Raid instances are open for pugs)
Our Raiding Rules:
* Notify an officer or the raid leader when you go AFK. It is not polite if you are missing ready checks or making the raid wait on you.
* Do not disrupt the raid with trivial chat that is not directly raid related. This includes guild, raid & Ventrilo.
*Do not spam dps/healing meters in raid chat. An officer will do it if you ask nicely. We run the risk of interrupting looting and/or tactics.
* Let the Raid Leader & Officers give the orders so everyone knows who to listen to and what they are expected to do. Offer suggestions to the Leader or Officer privately in tells. Don't be offended if a suggestion is not immediately implemented.
* Come to the raid fully repaired, bring appropriate reagents, consumables, resist gear, etc. Don't always expect a summons, and move quickly so that you don't have people waiting on you.
*Ventrilo is a must. Everyone must use it. If you can't get on Ventrilo speak with Sadomasicist or an officer in good advance of a raid. If there's any other reason you cannot get on Ventrilo you'll need to speak with officers to come up with some way around it. Its really important everyone is on Ventrilo.
* Do not stop to PvP on the way to, during to or while you are waiting on a raid. Any pvping during, on the way to or while you are waiting on a raid will result in a loss of dkp.
* Worry more about what you are doing in a raid and less about what others are doing. Let the Leaders & Officers monitor who is slacking off or constantly pulling aggro etc. If you notice a significant pattern bring it to the attention of a Leader or Officer privately in tells.
* If the Leader calls for a "wipe" then die in a good spot don't run all over the zone and make a rezzer hunt for your body. Do not release unless instructed. If you are told to release and run back, do so promptly and get back in the zone quickly so rebuffing can be done and another attempt made quickly.
* If you need rebuffing pick someone that can do the buff and send a tell, it is generally not "essential" that you have every single buff every single trash pull. When you ask in /raid you run the risk of someone thinking someone else did the buff or getting buffed 2 times wasting mana/regents.
* If you are not "really ready" when the ready check is done, don't hit ready and then ask for a buff, or something. Because then the person that had to do the buff isn't full mana and ready usually. The ready check means "soon as everyone says okay we are pulling".
* When we have to move zones entirely for a raid, we will give 15 min of "travel" time and then do the first ready check for pulling. This means that if you got the port, repaired, got regents if needed, and then got on the bird you would still have time for short afk while in flight and can still make it to the zone on time.
We ask that Raiders keep the following on hand:
Required for Progression Content: must be used once officers call "full consumables"
- 2 Flasks and/or 20 guardian and battle elixirs as appropriate
- 20 Stat food as appropriate
- 1-2 Stacks of bandages
- 4-5 Stacks of spell reagents
- Enough gold to cover 2 fully broken repairs
Required for Farm Content as needed (IE if you have DPS, Mana, Health etc issues):
- Flask and/or guardian and battle elixirs
- Mana and/or health potions as applicable
- Stat Food as appropriate and needed
- 1-2 Stacks of bandages (even if not needed)
- 2-4 Stacks of spell reagents
- Gold to cover repairs as needed
Raid Behavior
Behavior that contributes to raid wipes, delays in pulls and overall lowering raid morale does not help raid progression. It frustrates and causes a lot of concern and/or frustration for other raid members.
We know everyone is human and will make honest mistakes. However continually and/or intentionally doing something to possibly cause a wipe (especially after being told specifically "don't do that" or specifically "do this") is not acceptable at this level of game play.
If you don't agree with the instructions, voice your opinion constructively to an officer, but don't escalate it to the point that it disrupts the raid. If the instruction isn't changed then follow the instructions and then after the raid take the issue up again with officers if you feel it merits more consideration/review etc.
We expect to wipe on raids, it happens, however when it happens because of things that could be avoided then it becomes a problem and we have an obligation to the other raid members to address those issues.
We are at a level of game play that people should know what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in a raid. Each wipe costs every member between about 5-10g at a minimum (counting repairs and/or consumables) and sometimes more importantly it wastes a good 5-15 min of everyone's time and chances for legitimate attempts.
